1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing the dashboard, embedding the widget, or calling the API, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and any organization you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Continued use after a change to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the change.
2. The service
revws is a hosted reviews-and-reactions surface you embed inside your own product. It federates your users' identities over a signed JWT you mint, persists the review and reaction data, and renders threaded reviews and moderation tooling. The service comprises the widget, the REST API, and the operator dashboard.
3. Beta service
The service is offered as a private beta. It is provided as-is and as-available. Features may change, be removed, or break without notice. We offer no service-level agreement, uptime guarantee, or commitment to backward compatibility during the beta. Do not rely on the service for any use where interruption or data loss would cause material harm.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to store or distribute unlawful, infringing, or abusive content;
- probe, scan, or circumvent the service's authentication, rate limits, or workspace isolation;
- resell, sublicense, or operate the service as a competing product without written permission;
- impersonate another workspace, forge federated tokens, or misuse another party's keys;
- overload the infrastructure or interfere with other customers' use of the service.
5. Customer data & intellectual property
You own your data. The reviews, reactions, and federated user identifiers submitted through your workspace ("Customer Data") remain yours. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Customer Data solely to operate the service for you. Every thread and review is readable through the REST API with your own signed tokens, so a full export is a script, not a support ticket.
Escape Velocity retains all rights in the service itself — the software, widget, API, dashboard, and brand. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the service to you.
6. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Escape Velocity will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars, whichever is greater.
7. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your workspace at any time; deleting a product retires its keys with it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the beta. On termination we may delete Customer Data after a reasonable period; export your data before you leave.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, make a reasonable effort to notify workspace admins. Your continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
